Oil paintings of house and people in progress

Here are a few updates of the art I have been painting lately. All of these commissioned paintings are oil on canvas. Every artist has their own process and tools they use, it evolves through the years and looking back on the history of an artist each one comes up with a unique process that they call their own. My process begins with a sketch on the canvas to be painted and while my preferred medium for all of my commissioned art pieces is oil on canvas I will occasionally use acrylic for some of my scenic beach art pieces. After I sketch the portrait I will start with base colors for the image and slowly add the details as I go. As part of my painting process I will send to my client periodic photos and videos to show the painting in progress usually by email, if the family requests I will make a private appointment here at my art gallery to review the art piece rather than sending them an online gallery. Either way the more input from the family the better. When creating a handmade painting the more feedback the better.

The first oil painting subject below is a house I have been working on. A beautiful unique beach house in Lavalette. Love the soft colors of this house, it has a beautiful arrangement of flowers and landscaping in the front yard and I can't wait add those into the painting.
