Family Portrait Oil Painting on their dock

We had a contest last summer, the grand prize was a 16x20 oil painting.  We created a family portrait on their dock and I am using the images from that session as a reference for their family portrait.  It was a gorgeous sunset and the view from their backyard is spectacular.  Here are some images I have taken as the painting has evolved.  Started with a rough sketch of the overall image then I started filling in the base colors of the water and the rest of the background.  The family is worked on last.  It's not done yet but I wanted to show the progress so far.  Have a wonderful day and only 21 days left till spring!
